Vegetable Research and Development Station Buzau – Research, innovation, and passion for Romanian vegetable cultivation!

International scientific participation – the “Ecology and Safety” Conference, Burgas, Bulgaria

The Vegetable Research and Development Station Buzau announces the participation of Mr Dumitru-Mitel Toma, CS III, PhD student Eng., as partner coordinator in the project A.D.E.R. 2.1.7. entitled: “Research on the use of plasma technologies in controlling the diseases and pests of stored agricultural products and the assessment of their effect on seeds and plants, with a view to obtaining sustainable, high-quality yields”, at the 34th edition of the International Conference “Ecology and Safety”, held from 11 to 14 August 2025 in the city of Burgas, Republic of Bulgaria.

At this prestigious scientific event, Mr Dumitru-Mitel Toma, PhD student Eng., presented the paper: “Research on the evaluation of cold plasma treatment on Phaseolus vulgaris ‘Maura 2000’”, which sets out the preliminary results of applying cold plasma treatment to bean seeds, with the emphasis on its influence on germination, vigour and pathogen tolerance parameters, in the context of promoting sustainable agricultural technologies.
