To complete a spring salad, we continue our presentations with none other than the famous Buzau onion.
White Buzau onion
A highly productive variety, known for its large bulbs of around 160-170 g with a slightly flattened round shape. The flesh is white and juicy, with a sweetish, mildly pungent taste. It is perfect both for eating fresh and for cooking.
The variety adapts very well to the soil and climate conditions of this country.
Rubiniu red onion
A red onion variety with large bulbs of up to about 250 g, covered in striking red-violet skins. The flesh is juicy, aromatic and less pungent, which makes it ideal for salads as well as for a wide range of dishes. It is prized for its intense colour, pleasant taste and high yield.
The best sowing period is March to April.
