On 08.04.2026, the Vegetable Research and Development Station Buzau had the pleasure of welcoming students taking part in the national stage of the Olympiads in the Technologies curricular area – the fields of economics, administration, commerce, tourism and food service – held in Buzau.
The visit was organised with the support of the Buzau County School Inspectorate, and students from the counties of Arad, Botoșani and Suceava came to us eager to find out more about research work in vegetable growing.
They took an interest in our collection of aromatic and culinary herbs, learned what the differences are between turnips and Jerusalem artichoke, and discovered which is the sweetest plant grown in our greenhouses.
We are delighted to see such interest in and passion for science and agriculture among young people, and we are honoured to contribute to their education!
