A valuable experience of learning, mentoring and collaboration has come to an end with the completion of the FutureLAB 2026 programme, organised by Social Innovation Solutions. The programme was dedicated to connecting research with the business environment and to accelerating technology transfer.
Throughout the programme we took part in workshops, bootcamps, mentoring sessions and hands-on activities alongside experts in innovation, intellectual property, entrepreneurship and sustainability. These activities gave us concrete tools for turning research results into solutions with economic applicability and an impact on society.
During the mentoring and Advisory Board sessions we presented the patent “Luffa cylindrica – the Elida variety”, and received valuable feedback from the mentors and experts involved in the programme. The discussions focused on technology transfer opportunities, the development of public-private partnerships, the creation of spin-off structures and the identification of ways to bring research results to market.
Taking part in Future LAB gave us a new perspective on how research can be connected to the real needs of the market and of society, and confirmed for us how important collaboration between researchers, the business world and everyone involved in innovation really is.
We thank the SIS team, the mentors and all the participants for their professionalism, for the inspiration and for the opportunity to be part of this community dedicated to innovation!
