🌍 From 17 to 21 May 2026, Elena Barcanu and Ovidia Agapie, representing VRDS Buzau, took part in the 10th edition of the “Southeastern and Eastern Europe Symposium on Vegetables and Potatoes (SEEVP 2026)”, held in Chania, Greece 🇬🇷.

📌 On this occasion, the research results obtained within the ADER 2.1.7 project were disseminated through the scientific poster “Effects of cold plasma treatment on germination dynamics and early seedling development in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)”.

Elena Barcanu, director of VRDS Buzau, also gave the presentation “Landraces and Biodiversity in Romania: Challenges and Opportunities” during the FAO–ISHS workshop “Crop Diversification, Climate Resilience and Biodiversity-Rich Varieties”. She is likewise part of the workshop’s expert group, being one of the eight members involved in preparing and running the activities, a contribution that will continue in the future stages of this international initiative.

🤝 Taking part in this international event helped to promote the results of Romanian research and to strengthen scientific collaborations in the field of sustainable horticulture. 📸🌱
