Românesc Spinach
Morphological characteristics:
A mid-early spinach variety with an abundant, semi-erect leaf rosette that lends itself to mechanised harvesting. The leaves are a glossy medium green and slightly savoyed, and the leaf blade is triangular, gently rounded at the tip.
Technological requirements:
The crop is established by direct sowing. The seed rate in the field is 15-25 kg/ha, and for crops established by autumn sowing it is increased by 20%. It prefers loose soils that retain moisture and prevent cracking during dry spells.
Yield and quality characteristics:
The variety has a high yield potential of up to 20 t/ha and is suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing. The leaves are large, with a tender texture and a pleasant flavour.
