Description
- Oxheart-type tomato
- A mid-early variety with indeterminate growth which can be grown under protected cultivation and in the open field, in a trellised system. The plants are slender, with sparse foliage, and of moderate vigour.
- The fruits are heart-shaped, with a distinctive and attractive form. They can reach a large size, weighing up to 500 grams. Their flavour is remarkable, offering a combination of sweetness and slight acidity characteristic of traditional varieties. The flesh is dense and meaty and contains few seeds, which makes the fruits ideal for fresh consumption or for use in cooking.
- Yield per plant is 3.5-4 kg. Particular care must be taken when transporting the fruits since, being large and juicy, they have a limited keeping quality of 4-7 days.
- The strong point of this variety is its high lycopene content.
