Project objectives

  • Identification, collection, characterisation and conservation of vegetable germplasm sources tolerant to heat and water stress, for use in breeding programmes.

Results

  • Evaluation of tomato (9 lines), aubergine (8 lines) and onion (10 lines) genotypes;
  • Selection of five genetic lines capable of completing gametogenesis and pollination under unfavourable environmental conditions.
