- Implementation period: 2008-2011
Project objectives
Screening of the interaction of laser radiation and acoustic fields with plants;
Study of the morphological and biochemical effects induced by treatment based on simultaneously modulated acoustic fields and laser radiation on plant growth in the early stages of development, and of the changes induced at mature plant level.
Results
- Construction of an experimental model of a device for treating plants using acoustic fields and laser radiation;
- Development of a specific irradiation protocol for the following varieties: sweet pepper – Buzau 10, aubergine – Drăgaica, petunia – Cascade Alb, marigold – Nanuk, carnation – Chabaud;
- Development of a non-stressful and non-polluting irradiation methodology using continuous coherent laser light, subsequently modulated in synchrony with audio fields, applied to 2 vegetable species of the Solanaceae family and to 3 ornamental species;
- Registration of a cherry-type tomato variety (Coralina) and of a marigold variety (Nanuk).
