Project objectives
- Development and evaluation of new vegetable growing techniques, both conventional and organic (in line with climate change)
- Creation of new technologies for growing vegetables in the open field, together with the adaptation of new types of structure for seedling production in the context of current climate change.
- Improvement of vegetable growing technologies with a view to obtaining reliable yields, reducing the intensity of chemical treatments and making use of natural resources in order to improve product quality and environmental health in a sustainable manner.
Results
- Implementation of optimised growing technologies for the species in the portfolio of the Vegetable Research and Development Station Buzau.
- Drawing up of the field trial layout plans in accordance with experimental design principles and the objectives set
- Establishment of the experimental crops
- Carrying out of maintenance operations in accordance with the technology.
- Performance of biometric observations and measurements.
- Selection and marking of elite plants.
