Project objectives
Identification of new genotypes of tomato, sweet pepper, hot pepper, aubergine, carrot, leaf parsley, parsnip and dill adapted to changing climatic conditions.
Results
- Collection fields were established with 113 accessions: 20 tomato lines, 13 sweet and long pepper lines, 15 hot pepper lines, 28 aubergine lines, 19 carrot lines; 6 parsnip lines; 12 dill lines. The collections were enriched with a further 18 accessions: 3 tomato lines, 8 hot pepper lines, 5 cucumber lines, 2 bean lines and one aubergine line;
- Five lines were stabilised in large-fruited tomatoes;
- Characterisation sheets were drawn up for the lines in the tomato and bean collections;
- Two leaflets presenting new varieties were produced: the Teodora garden climbing bean (registered and patented - national filing v 2017 022 / 10.04.2017) and the Elviana tomato;
- One poster presenting the tomato collection was produced and five interviews presenting the results were given to the media.
