Project objectives
Establishment of reference collections for the following species: tomato, sweet pepper, pea, lettuce, onion, autumn cabbage and celery;
Creation of new genotypes in the species mentioned;
Use of vertically developed production structures (greenhouses) for raising seedlings and for drying vegetable and flower seed;
Optimisation of the seedling production system;
Development and modernisation of the system of agricultural machinery for establishing and maintaining vegetable seed crops;
Improvement of the machinery system for extracting and processing vegetable seed;
Development of integrated technologies for the prevention and control of attacks by pathogens and pests;
Development of a marketing strategy for vegetable and flower seed.
Results
- Obtaining 6 certificates of registration for new vegetable varieties (garden pea, sweet pepper, lettuce, celeriac, cherry-type tomato, autumn cabbage);
- Obtaining one patent for the vertically developed greenhouse and 4 inventions in the process of being patented: a multifunctional implement, a machine for extracting seed from pepper receptacles, a machine for extracting seed from cucurbits, and a cultivator;
- Development of 7 new cultivation technologies for the vegetable species registered under the project;
- Production of technological data sheets for raising seedlings of tomato, sweet pepper, aubergine, early cabbage, lettuce, marigold, petunia, salvia and dahlia;

Publication of the book:
“High-performance technologies for the production and processing of vegetable seed, in accordance with European Union rules and standards” - 18 scientific and popular-science papers (category B+) presented at specialist scientific events.
