Project objectives
Drawing up the requirements for a food safety management system based on HACCP principles, along the vegetable and fruit production and processing chain.
Results
- Preparation of technical documentation on the analysis of the potential risks associated with the primary production of vegetables (species: tomatoes and cucumbers) during the growing period in the first ten-day period of the calendar year, with an emphasis on the impact on food safety;
- Registration of a cherry tomato variety: Carisma;
- Optimisation of growing technologies for lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and cucumbers;
- Within these technologies, the risks associated with protected cultivation were analysed and established, with relevance for consumer health and for the safety of agri-food products;

Publication of the guide:
„Ghid de bune practici agricole pentru producţia primară de legume” (Guide to good agricultural practice for the primary production of vegetables), TEOCORA Publishing House, ISBN 978-973-1934-09-9, 2008; - Publication of one scientific article indexed in category B+;
- Publication of 7 articles with an ISBN and popular-science articles, addressed to the general public and to specialists in the field of vegetable growing.
