Project objectives
Testing, under conventional greenhouse conditions, of the experimental model of a technical system for collecting and storing rainwater and groundwater.
Results
- An experimental model of a tank for collecting, storing and pumping rainwater through the drip system, in the greenhouse, for the crops established there;
- A database on the water and air source, the behaviour of the system in operation, the irrigated crop, its location and the drip irrigation system;
- Calculation of rainfall and of its influence on the hydraulic elements that govern run-off;
- A design type that can be used in the event of droughts of high intensity and long duration, making use of local resources.
