PNCDI II 51-046/2007: Development of a commercial carrot hybrid using phenotypically stable petaloid-type cytoplasmic male-sterile (CMS) lines as the female parent, for the southern and south-eastern regions of the country

Project objectives

Diversifying the domestic carrot range by developing a commercial F1 hybrid with superior yield potential and quality characteristics, in the mid-early maturity group, with cylindrical roots and tolerance to the main economically important pathogens.
